Reiza Studios: From Brazil to the World
Three years. It sounds like a long time, but when you’re freelancing for one of the top studios in the sim racing world, the time flies by faster than a GT car on a hot lap. From 2021 to 2024, I had the opportunity to work with Reiza Studios—the creators behind Automobilista 1 and 2—on some major track DLC projects. Reiza is famous for their attention to detail, their passion for motorsport, and their drive to make everything as authentic as possible. Proud to deliver some track assets of all kinds.
These weren't just any tracks
There are crown jewels of motorsport, like Imola. Each one required a deep dive into data, old blueprints, and a mountain of reference material with pointcloud accuracy. Reiza’s philosophy is simple: if you’re going to do it, do it right. Not one mistake could be on the table. No detail was too small, no feedback was too minor, and no effort was spared to bring these tracks to life. Collaborating with a studio so dedicated to accuracy was a perfect match for my passion for precision. In the wireframe's of 3dsmax you see new track lights, tower banners and the Senna artwork I added for them + many PBR updates later on.
Getting to know Brazil’s motorsport culture
I got to know the ins and outs of Brazil’s motorsport culture—a culture that, much like their football, is rich, intense, and endlessly fascinating. And it wasn't just about Brazil; Reiza has a knack for making tracks from around the world feel just as alive as the originals. From sweeping curves to subtle vibrations behind the steering wheel, every aspect was meticulously recreated—and I was watching how everyone in the team was going all in..
Freelancing for Reiza isn’t just work; it's a learning experience, a challenge, and a lot of fun. It helped me sharpen my skills and be part of something that thousands of fans use every day. It's pretty humbling to know that somewhere out there, someone is setting their fastest lap on a track I helped bring to life. Without going too much into details here and lawsuit myself on NDA's, some big tracks have been part of my freelance work.
The sim racing community is growing every day, and studios like Reiza are at the forefront of making sure it's done right. I’m honored to have been part of that journey. To all the sim racers out there—I’m rooting for you. Now get out there and try AMS2 out, the future is very great if you have this title!
